MY PHILOSOPHY
My philosophy is that a wedding film is so much more than a series of images. It’s the fleeting second when your little finger finds your mum’s, or the quick glance you steal at the love of your life.
A wedding film should make you feel. It is so much more than documentation. A wedding film is the closest we have come to time travel. You should feel the love, the hubbub of your day, the moments of pure peace, the fragrance of grass or of your wedding bouquet, the scent your mother wore. Like true love, art too is something that moves your heart.
The best wedding films document more than just the story of the day, but the story of your relationship.
A wedding film holds what a photograph can’t: the sound of your vows, the catch in your dad’s voice during his speech, the music and noise of your guests. Paired with photographs, it gives you the whole day to see, hear and relive for decades to come.
Capturing Emotions is What Fascinates Me
From an early age, I have been drawn to artistic images. I started out taking photos, but I quickly fell in love with the rhythm and movement of filmmaking. I have travelled across the world, worked in conditions where light, electricity, insects (even snakes!), muddy slippery slush could cause considerable grief. I have loved my work through all of it. The rush of capturing a perfect moment is far more rewarding than anything that could hamper it. And of all the shoots I have done, I enjoy wedding videography the most. It is your happy day and I am honoured that you trust me to capture its essence.
