I am a North Devon based wedding film maker and photographer. I travel across the UK and around the world for destination weddings and elopements. I have over 20 years experience as a videographer and photographer.
I love to capture pure emotions such as tears, laughter, anticipation, joy, etc. to create something deeply touching... something you can re-watch and relive again and again even thirty years from now.
MY PHILOSOPHY
My philosophy is that a wedding film is so much more than a series of images. It is that one fleeting second where you caught your mum’s pinkie or that one quick glance you caught of the love of your life.
A wedding film should make you feel. It is so much more than documentation. A wedding film is the closest we have come to time travel. You should feel the love, the hubbub of your day, the moments of pure peace, the fragrance of grass or of your wedding bouquet, the scent your mother wore. Like true love, art too is something that moves your heart.
The best wedding films document more than just the story of the day, but the story of your relationship.
The wedding video is a unique film that you can keep for a lifetime, making your memories come alive. You will be able to relive your wonderful day through a wedding film by immersing yourself in the atmosphere, listening to the speeches or visualizing your ceremony. The wedding video is complementary to the photo. Indeed, the photo remains static and frozen in time, unlike the video which will allow you to immerse yourself in the past.
Capturing Emotions is What Fascinates Me
From an early age, I have been drawn to artistic images. When I started, I started by taking photos but I quickly fell in love with the dynamic and rhythmic aspects of film making. I have travelled across the world, worked in conditions where light, electricity, insects (even snakes!), muddy slippery slush could cause considerable grief. I have loved my work through all of it. The rush of capturing a perfect moment is far more rewarding than anything that could hamper it. And of all the shoots I have done, I enjoy wedding videography the most.
